Dietrich Sieling is a Minneapolis-based full-time artist living with complex autism. His art has been featured in solo exhibitions at SooVAC, Lagoon New York, Minnesota Museum of American Art, Kabinett and Kammer NY, Governor’s Island New York City, and at Bockley Gallery, who also represents him. He received a public art commission from the Metropolitan Transit Commission, installed November 2023. His group exhibitions include the Plains Art Museum in Fargo ND, as well as MADE HERE MN, Bockley Gallery Summer Potluck, Art-A-Whirl and Intermedia Arts, Minneapolis. His work is in numerous private collections across the US. He is currently at work preparing for a residency and solo exhibition with Summertime Gallery, Brooklyn, NY, January – April 2024. One of the purest and surest joys of his day, and life, is a walk alone to a coffee shop – the journey and encounters along the way, culminating in a cup of delicious black coffee.
